Announcements
WaterFest
Dear Parents,

We have the opportunity to travel to Water Fest on Friday, April 19, 2013, located at Wray, Colorado. Breakfast will be served at 7:45 and students will load the bus at 8:00 am. We will be returning before the end of the school day at approximately 3:15 pm. Water Fest is an excellent opportunity for students to learn first-hand about the importance and many uses of water. Students will need to bring a sack lunch. However, a soda will be provided, if desired.

Students are allowed to bring cell phones, cameras, etc. However, the school will NOT be held responsible if any of those items are lost or stolen. Students will be expected to follow all school rules while on this trip. Any disrespect or noncompliance with adults will result in the student not participating in Water Fest activities.

Parents are allowed to join us on this field trip; however, you will need to provide your own transportation. There is no admission fee for WaterFest. I want to thank you once again for continued support of your child’s education. If you have any questions, feel free to call the school at 348-5369.

"Soil to Spoon" Poster
The kids have been working on their posters in class and they are looking good!  I'm asking that students finish working on their posters at home and that they have their posters turned in by Monday, October 8th so I have enough time to take them over to Burlington for judging.

Thanks,

Miss Shutte
Conservation Poster Contest
The 6th Grade Class will be participating in the Burlington Conservation Poster Contest.  Next Tuesday, September 25th, representatives from the Burlington Conservation Office will come present to our class, the rules of the Poster Contest and provide us information on the goals of their organization.  On Wednesday, September 26th, the class will be visiting the farm of Doug and Vanessa Worden to learn more about the conservation efforts of local citizens.  This should be a fun learning experience!
Welcome
Welcome back to school! I'm excited to get to know each one of you. This year should be an exciting year in the science classroom :)
